A poem I wrote during the April of 2016, that depicts the minds of men during the midnight hours. Minds, suffering from the feeling of love.
My troubled sleep is interrupted by her voices
that echo inside the walls of my empty cadaver.
The empty half of the bed
wakes the prisoner inside my heart;
he bangs the walls like a mad inmate seeking salvation.
I close the windows, and yet, the river flows;
Sleepless, I curse fate and let darkness envelop me.
